Our upcoming events:

Solo Prep Master Class

Date: Sunday, February 7

Time: 1-4 PM

Location: Crossroads Church

2505 NE 102nd, Portland, Oregon

Fee: $30 Performers (limited to 10), $5 Auditors

Come practice performing your solo in front of Dawn, Denise and Carla, and

get pointers before the big day! The first part of the afternoon will be spent

discussing suggestions regarding performance anxiety, tuning, and general

performance practices. The remainder of the time will be listening and re-

viewing performances. Suggestions for possible improvements will be made

and a review sheet will be filled out for you to keep and discuss with your

teacher. This is a great way to get some bugs and butterflies out prior to

the actual competition day. Auditors will get pointers just by listening and

using the pointers on their own pieces.

Holiday Flute Ensemble A Great Success!

The first annual Holiday Flute Ensemble went off without a hitch to

the delight of all involved. 17 flutists from middle school through

college participated. Performances occurred in Pioneer Square in

front of the big Christmas tree, at the Veterans Hospital and at a

Oswego Springs, Senior Assisted Living. Performers and audiences

enjoyed the holiday spirit that the music provided! Well-done players!

East Side and West Side Camps Available

Camps are for students in the 7th-12th grades who

want to be challenged, have a lot of fun with their

flutes, and make new friends. Camps go from Monday

through Friday, 10 AM-3 PM, lunch is included. A Friday

evening performance finalizes a successful week at camp!

A great opportunity for your student to work with three prof-

essional performers and teachers.
